11/17/12 Arturo taking Ochocinco out for a ride, she is such a sweet girl, and waiting for a new home....

08/07/12 Ochocinco, all ready for some under saddle work...She is doing really well and progressing nicely. She is now doing walk, trot and canter under saddle in the arena and going out on trail...

7/28/12 Ochocinco is doing very well and really progresing. She is very good out on trail and still being worked in the arena. She stands for mounting and tacking and stands for the farrier. She is sound and healthy and with steady work she will make someone a wonderful riding horse. She needs a more experienced rider.

10/23/11 Ochocinco is being worked and looking for a new home soon.

10/06/11 The guys have been helping out with working with horses. Felipe has been working with Ochocinco... And today, he hopped on her for the first time. We knew she was broke to ride, but we didn't know how much she knew as she had been found wandering in the desert. We always begin from scratch with the horses and take our time. Good job, Felipe!

8/20/11 Ochocinco. She began her work for possible adoption this morning. She is fat, sound and ready to move on to her new future...

11/11/10 We eventually began to suspect that Ochocinco was pregnant and stopped her work. Our vet confirmed it and on 10/31/10 she gave birth to a healthy little colt, Cairo! Please check out Cairo's page for more info and photos. 

9/2/10 We have begon to work with an evaluate Ochocinco, more info to come!

7/6/10 Ochocinco is gaining weight and enjoying turn outs. She is doing really well.

6/5/10 Ochocinco is filling out and is looking and feeling better. This will be a nice mare once she is back to health. 

Arrived at Shiloh on 5/28/10. This mare was found this morning standing on the other side of our perimeter fence looking for food and water.

Five days before she showed up, we were told that some power company workers saw some horses loose in the valley. We all looked, so did the surrounding ranches, but no horses could be found. Then this mare showed up, days later.

She is very thin and was dehydrated when we found her. After some food, water and rest, she is settling in and is very friendly. She does have shoes on her front feet and muliple scars on her legs and body. We suspect that she (and other horses) were dumped in the desert by the owners. She also had some cactus spines in her legs.  

She does have a brand on her hip which has the numbers 8 and 5- so we have named her Ochocinco (eightfive )
