A well mannered and forward big gelding who loves attention and carrots

3/3/11 Beau is still looking for his new home- this is a very nice big gelding. A great horse for a man, fun to ride, forward and good manners. Beau is currently being ridden in a hackamore which he prefers and is very responsive.

5/22/10 Beau is doing so well and is great fun to ride. He is nice and forward and has a wonderful canter. He is well mannered and willing. A very nice big gelding who prefers to go Western and stay nice and long and relaxed. We have found that he does prefer to stay laid back rather than too collected. He will tense up and grind his teeth if asked for too much collection under saddle, but he should improve with lots of long and low stretching. For now, we are just letting him enjoy being ridden and encouraging him to stay relaxed. We are working on his transitions, but you can see in the above video, that he stays quiet and does pick up his leads, etc. Beau is a beautiful deep chestnut color with no white. Will do best with a confident advanced intermediate rider. He is currently living out in a pasture and if it has been a few days since he was last worked, we just longe him for a few minutes to let him play around a bit.

3/12/10 Beau is back on track and is now looking for a new home! This is such a fun horse with a super great canter. He can go either English or Western, he is sound and healthy. A very nice tall gelding. 

2/5/10 Beau has returned to Shiloh from his adoptive home after one year. His owner was supposed to take lessons, etc and didn't and so the match did not work out like we had hoped for Beau. We will be re-evaluating him for another adoption. He is a friendly gelding who needs steady work and a job. 
 

9/1/08 Beau is now going under saddle, he is sound and healthy and likes to work. He is a nice big bright chestnut gelding who would make a nice lesson horse or pleasure riding horse. He ties, stands for grooming and bathing, trailers, and stands for the Farrier.

 

6/14/08 Beau has now come in from pasture. He is currently being treated for a minor wound on his leg, but he is doing great. Beau has excellent manners on the ground and we will start evaluating him for possible adoption very soon.

Beau came to Shiloh in early November 2007 from the Finger Lakes Adoption Program in NY.

Beau has a huge bowed tendon from his racing days, it looks like it was never really cared for properly or set right. He is sound on it and doing fine.

Beau's reg name is Wildman Wesley", he was foaled in NY on March 14, 2002. His Sire is Gulch by Mr. Prospector, his Dam is Greening out of Tom Rolfe. He raced 17 times, earning $30,834.00.
