4/05/2010 Rescued from the Fallon Feedlot in Northern Nevada. She is supposedly pregnant and due in June. She is very thin for her pregnancy. We have moved her into the Medical Unit for better weather protection and better observation.
This mare's JC reg name is Silent Departure. She was foaled in CA on May 17, 1995, raced 20 times and earned $19,465.00. We were told that she is in foal to the Thoroughbred stallion, Captain's Rebel. She supposedly also also has a 2007 foal by Captain's Rebel.
Breeze is the Granddaughter of Damascus. She raced all the Northern California tracks including Bay Meadows and Golden Gate. She raced on average 5-6 furlong races. The saddest thing is she ran once every two weeks!!
5/12/10 Breeze is filling out and her baby is growing. Her horrible old unhealthy hair is shedding out and she is looking better. We are hoping she will foal closer to July so that we can have more time to get her to a healthier state. Breeze is just about the sweetest horse at Shiloh!
5/20/10 Breeze loves wandering the turn out and eating- her two favorite things! :o)
5/28/10 Breeze is doing great and has moved out of the barn and into the Bunglaow's Kinder Care area. She was examined by the vet yesterday who said about one more month before she foals. She has gained lots of weight and is looking and feeling so much better.
6/6/10 Breeze had a little filly! We have named her foal, Brisa, which means "Breeze" in Spanish. Brisa is thin, but is strong and active and should catch up to a healthy weight. Breeze is a wonderful and caring mother. See Brisa's webpage for more!
8/25/10 Breeze is now up to a healthy weight and is a great mother to little Brisa!
2/5/11 Very happy news as Breeze found a new home this morning! A perfect match and a loving home where she will do some pleasure riding with her new owner. This is great for Breeze who is nice and easy under saddle and who deserves a full life with a loving owner.

7/25/11 Thoroughbred mare, Breeze, returned to us from her adoptive home. She was very well cared for and loved but her owner recently married (congratulations!) and will be moving out of state. Breeze is highly adoptable so I know we will find her another great home. Breeze is 15 years old, sound and healthy and goes English. I will be working on an under saddle video of her very soon...

8/20/11 Sabine was working with Breeze today. I am also working on Breeze's under saddle video. A very nice TB mare! Breeze is well mannered, sound and healthy and looking for her new pleasure riding home...
