Jamestown is a registered Thoroughbred gelding who was rescued from slaughter at the New Holland sale in PA. He is 6 years old and 16.1 hands tall. He is recently off the racetrack, since he raced on a Friday and went to the slaughter auction on Monday. He raced an incredible?50 times! He is descended from the great racehorse, War Admiral. He is totally sound with clean legs?and healthy, although he?still needs to?gain more?weight (he was very thin upon his arrival at our rescue one month ago). Jamestown lunges and has been started under saddle. He has very good manners and is easy to handle but?he needs an experienced rider who understands how to work with an ex-racehorse. He is an excellent prospect horse and is ready to go into any discipline. He will make a wonderful hunter/jumper, dressage, event horse, or barrel horse! Jamestown has been wormed and vaccinated.



UPDATE: Jamestown has been sold to the Everett Family of Las Vegas where he will have a wonderful?Hunter/Jumper home! He has been renamed "Lucky Star", a perfect name, as he is a very lucky horse to have such a great new life. Good luck, Lucky Star!
