7/11/09 Black Feather moved on to her new home this morning!

5/14/09 Black Feather has really come along and is now relaxed and quiet under saddle. She just needed some time to get back into the swing of things. We think she will actually make a wonderful family type horse, she is willing and laid back. She loves attention. She stands while mounting and tacking, likes to be groomed and bathed and is ready to live the rest of her life in  aloving home.


5/1/09 Black Feather is now looking for her new home. She has awesome ground manners and LOVES people and attention, she is just a bit rusty under saddle and needs an experienced rider to get her going again. We have been on her and she gets a bit tense, but she is broke to ride. We think it has probably been a long time since she was actually ridden and was used mainly for packing, she doesn't do anything bad, just gets tense. She is a very unusual and beautiful mare.  She is sound and healthy. She is currently not wearing shoes, but if she starts more work she will probably need shoes on the front. 2/23/09 Rescued from the Fallon Auction in Northern Nevada. Black Feather, named for her ears, was used for riding and packing. She was rescued for $225.
