New Slaughter horses find safety and Lotsadots passes on...

Shiloh attended the Cedar City auction on 10/4/07, where we saved seven slaughter bound horses. Please see them in our New Arrivals section: Soldier, Cleveland, Holy Heck, Tattoo, Tioga, Roy, and the unnamed bay Thoroughbred.

Shiloh is currently being filmed for a French documentary about Tony, Jill, Shiloh, and the rescue horses. The film crew followed us to the auction and was able to actually film inside the auction. Because the film crew had to get permission a month prior to filming, the auction was much smaller, with less horses, and we overheard that people were told to not bring in any "questionable" horses this month. But, still the conditions were bad and the crew was able to get a good sense of what a slaughter auction is really like.

Lotsadots

Sadly, we had to euthanize Lotsadots today. She was rescued from slaughter four months ago with crippling arthritis and it had finally gotten to be too much for her. She was quietly put out of her pain with people who loved her comforting her. Please read her story in our Greener Pastures page.
