| | UPDATE: 12/4/07 Tuesday, Chief is doing really well. His eye is no worse and he is being a good patient for his treatments!
Chief was taken into the vet clinic today. At some point in the last two days, he punctured his eyeball on something, maybe a tree branch. (During the cold winds, the Wanderers gather in the Mesquite trees for extra protection.) After closer inspection by the vet, it was found that he came one cell layer away from causing his eye to rupture- he was very lucky!
At the least, there will be loss of sight to his eye, but there is still chance that he may lose his entire eye. He will remain in the clinic for the week, so that he can be treated aggressively. We should know more in the next few days.
Chief is ALWAYS sticking his nose in where it does not belong- now the poor guy is suffering the consequences!
