11/17/07 Happy news as Hillbilly finds a home! He joins another Shiloh horse, Nitro in his new family.


UPDATE: 5/19/07 Hillbilly is so cute- very scraggley still- but cute! He has a funny personality! Today as we moved his mother, Cactus and him into another corral- Hillbilly decided it was time for him to be on his own. He did not follow Cactus into the corral- instead he took off into the Wanderer herd! So, we left him running loose- he is having a great time!

He is still wormy looking with matted hair- but he is getting healthier by the day!


Hillbilly was rescued along with his mother, Cactus from the Fallon feedlot. He is extremely "wormy" looking, poor little guy. It's horrifying to think that he would have been slaughtered at his young age along with his mother.
