Havasu is a wonderful and beautiful Thoroughbred mare that was donated to Shiloh by her caring family. Her previous owner did not have the time to ride her like she needed and decided to let Shiloh find her a new home.

Havasu is 18 years old, sound, and healthy. She is approx 15.3 hands tall. Havasu is registered and has papers.

Havasu jumps 2'6" consistantly and is wonderful to ride in the arena. She will make a wonderful english lesson horse or a child's Hunter. She has been ridden by a young girl and is very well schooled.

Havasu is currently being evaluated and is not available at this time.

UPDATE: 9/21/05 Havasu is still recovering from a hoof abscess that was causing a lameness and postponed her going on to a new home. Before her arrival at Shiloh, her previous owners noticed that she had stepped on a sharp rock which caused a bruise in her sole. It grew into an abscess that finally opened and drained, relieving the pressure in her foot. Our shoer, Trent, put her in shoes and pads and it has made a huge difference.

Havasu is now available for adoption to a new loving home. She has been going sound with shoes and pads. Jill has been riding her English and has found that she is very nice to ride. She has a wonderful walk, trot, and canter and is great in the arena.

Havasu would make a great horse for someone looking for a Hunter/Jumper, or as an English lesson horse. She will do best for a more experienced rider. She is eighteen years old, but likes to go and has great spirit! Havasu has wonderful gaits and wonderful training and would also make a great Dressage horse. She loves to jump and will get a bit strong so will do best with a stronger jumper rider.

UPDATE: 11/23/05 Havasu's adoption is pending! She will be going to a wonderful family here in las Vegas! Yay!

UPDATE: 12/19/05 Havie went to her new home today! She has been renamed "Stara" and joins Monticello, Frontier, Cody, Malibu, and Promise in her new family! Yay!
