Cochise is a very cute gelding who is at Shiloh while the Clark County Animal Control tries to find his owners. He was found wandering around a neighborhood here in Vegas, and no one has come forward to claim him (sometimes people just let unwanted horses loose). So, if he is not claimed by his owners within about a week and a half, he will become property of Shiloh and enter the rescue officially.

Cochise is very sweet, a little shy, and has badly neglected hooves. He is in pretty good weight and otherwise appears healthy. He is strong and stout, and we think rideable (he will be evaluated if he enters the rescue).

UPDATE: 11/28/05 Happy day, as Cochise is now an official member of the Shiloh family! He will now be evaluated for his adoption. There are already some great people lining up to give him a new home! We will keep his story updated as we begin to really work with him.

UPDATE: 12/4/05 Jill rode Cochise today, and he was great. He had very good manners but just needs time and patience to help him really settle down and feel confident and secure. He is a very sweet and cute horse.

UPDATE: 12/31/05 Happy News! Cochise has been adopted by Sharil and Anthony Palaggi! He joins Borrego in his new family!
