update: 10/19/07 Great news as Buck is already adopted by Jenna of CA! He is still gaining weight, but Jenna wants to take care of him and start bonding right away! Buck will become her new Law Enforcement/Search and Rescue mount in the CA moutains! A great job- a rescue horse helping people, what could be better?

Buck is very friendly and loves people and attention. He is currently recovering from an upper Respiratory infection.

This sweet off the track bay gelding was rescued from slaughter at the New Holland sale in PA in July of 2007. He was bought directly from the killer dealer.

He is sweet and sound, just thin. He is currently in isolation and gaining his weight.
