Arrived at Shiloh on 8/27/10 as part of our Icey Pony Project!

 

These ponies were part of a group of 100 rescued from a hoarding situation in CA by Falcon Ridge Horse Rescue in San Diego, CA. Kvikur, born in 2003, is one of a set of twins (we do not have his twin at Shiloh), so he is a bit smaller than the other ponies. Kvikur was gelded just a few weeks before he arrived at Shiloh and still thinks he is a bit of a stud. He does have some missing hair patches over his body which we will be treating. (I was told that Iceys can develop skin conditions due to heat.)

He was fighting with Isungur in the isolation pasture, Isungur was also just recently gelded.

Kvikur has been worked in tack and on the long line. He has good manners but can be hard to catch.
