Arrived at Shiloh on 12/29/09 from the Fallon Feedlot where she was purchased for $350.00. Arrived wearing her racing plates.
This mare's JC Reg name is "I'm Cognac". She was foaled in 2006. She raced 4 times, with 1 first, earning $7,615.00.
1/24/10 Cognac is now in the Hospice area where she wis still having her leg treated. She is a sweet mare, but needs some work on her ground manners.
2/4/10 We had Cognac x-rayed and it was found that she has a condylar fracture of her Coffin Bone, a very typical racing injury. We are keeping her wrapped for support and restricting her movement as it heals. With time, she should heal and be great for a pleasure or flat riding home.
6/2/10 Cognac is finally gaining her weight and is looking and feeling better. We treated her for stomach ulcers as she was showing low grade colic pain on a regular basis and with the treatment, that has disappeared. She is out in Easy Street where she can spend more down time before being evaluated for possible adoption in the near future.
6/20/10 Cognac is doing great, staying at a nice healthy weight now and feeling excellent. She will remain in pasture until we feel her leg has had sufficiant time to heal.
7/27/11 Cognac is looking and feeling great with her friends in Easy Street.
