04.29.11 Very sad news as sweet old 41 year old Sy passed away sometime in the night. He was up eating and drinking ate dinner but laid down and passed in the quiet of the night. We know he had a great life here with us these past few years but he became very special to all of us and we will miss him very much. Sy will be buried under the Mesquites here at Shiloh.

04.20.11 We are keeping a very close eye on old Sy- he is still eating and his spirit is still very good. His body is just slowing down- at age 41 that is natural. We are keeping him comfortable and watching him. He wandered for a few hours today, visited his Gummie friends, took time eating his feed and enjoyed a nice shedding out. We love you Sy!

We moved old Sy from the Gummies into a Barn Stall- he has a big swelling (abscess) on the side of his face. We are not sure if it is from a tooth as he doesn't really have any molars left back there. So we are hot packing it and by tomorrow I think it will open which will relieve him. Once it opens hopefully we can see what was causing it, if it is a tooth he will need to head into the clinic to have it checked. After Sally worked on him a while, he was seen happily eating his mushy food...

8/20/10 Sy is staying healthy and happy with his Gummie pals. He LOVES to be groomed and will follow volunteers around until he gets all of the attention he thinks he deserves!

5/19/09 Sy is doing great, all shedded out for the summer. He is fat and content.

3/13/09 Sy is doing great, fat and happy living in the Gummies. Sy only has a few teeth left- but loves his senior feed!

7/29/08 Sy has entered Shiloh's Sanctuary where he will live out the rest of days in peace, and tranquility!

7/27/08 Sy was brought over to Shiloh from a boarding facility that he was abandoned at. The boarding facility owner wanted him to have a nice place to live out the rest of his days. We hope to eventually get him into one of our senior pastures.

Sy is a very sweet and friendly guy.
