2/5/11 Happy news as Slewus found his new home today! He will enjoy a nice pleasure riding home. A good match for this interesting big gelding... 

8/20/10 Slewus has been brought in from the pasture for his adoption evaluation. he looks great and is such a friendly and personable gelding. Videos coming next week!

7/23/10 Slewus is looking and feeling good and we will be evaluating him soon for adoption!

5/28/10 Slewus is doing really well and appears to be sound. We are going to evaluate him this next month for possible adoption as a pleasure riding horse. This is a big friendly gelding.

8/28/09 Slewus is doing great, in fact he is looking sound when he trots in his pasture...

8/4/09 Slewus is doing well out in the Big Pasture (he returned from his foster home). He is keeping his weight up and is now being used in the WVC vet testings.




Slewus on 6/30/08. First time under saddle since his rescue. He has wonderful manners.

5/19/08 Rescued from Mike's Auction in California. His registered name is Abbi's Choice, and was foaled Feb 5, 1998. His
sire is Slewacide by Seattle Slew. Slewus raced 62 times and earned $362,161. He was raced at such historic tracks like Keenland and Churchill Downs, and finally the California racing circuit. His last race was March 17, 2006 and was ridden by possible Triple Crown winner and Big Brown's jockey Kent Desormeaux! Just so sad how hard this horse worked and what his reward was!

He was saved for $325.00.
