6/26/10 Happy news as Latte has found her new home! She joins other Draft horses in her new family and has a bright and busy future ahead. Happy Trails Latte!

4/9/10 Latte has returned to Shiloh's care as her adoptive home was undergoing financial difficulties and had to move out of state for employment. Latte is just beautiful- huge and very sweet! She is one hundred percent sound and healthy and ready to go. She is learning to lunge a bit and stands quietly for tacking up and grooming (She is not being ridden yet- she is too young). She loves attention and will really make someone a wonderful riding horse. Latte has lived at Shiloh her whole life. Due to her large size and young age, she needs more time to mature before she begins to work in earnest. We will continue to work with her on the ground, etc until her new home comes along. This is really a special horse! It is important that her adoptive owner realizes that even though Latte is so large (already almost 16.2 hands), her looks are deceiving, she is still a young horse and needs plenty of time to mature, both physically and emotionally, before she begins working under saddle, etc.

UPDATE: 8/12/07 Happy news as Latte goes on to her new home with Desiree of Las Vegas. With the passing of her mother, Tudor, it is important that little Latte gets all the extra attention and love she needs, something her adoptive home is looking forward to doing!

We have put Latte up for adoption to a new loving home! She must remain at Shiloh until she is weaned from her mother at about 6 months of age. We feel it is never to soon to fall in love with your new horse!


Born at Shiloh 5/9/07

Tudor, the huge black Percheron mare who was rescued from slaughter off of the Fallon Feedlot, gave birth to a big healthy filly! Incredibly, her filly is a beautiful buckskin color with two light blue eyes! Not at all what we were expecting! It is amazing to see the mare and foal together- they are so different! The filly seems healthy and was already out exploring the turn out!

We have named the filly "Latte".
