10/23/10 Happy news as Mercali has an adoption pending!

8/20/10 Mercali is such a nice gelding, steady, level headed and fun to ride. He has excellent ground manners and stands quietly for mounting and for the Farrier. Will make an excellent Husband Type horse.

6/5/10 Mercali is now beginning to look for a home of his own. He is sound and healthy and very laid back. A very steady and level headed gelding. Mercali ties and stands for the Farrier. He is walk, trot and cantering under saddle and is willing and very fun to ride. A very nice all around gelding! Mercali has had years of rest in our pasture, his racing injuries have healed and he is ready to move on.

5/20/10 Mercali is doing wonderfully and will be starting his adoption evaluation this month! He is going sound and looking great.

5/7/09 Mercali is still spending time in the pasture, we are hoping his racing injuries will heal enough that he can find a useful home of his own.

9/1/08 Mercali is still gaining weight back, but has been started very lightly in the round pen. He is sound and likes attention.

6/14/08 Mercali is doing great and has been brought in from the pasture. He will start his adoption evaluation very soon!

UPDATE: 2/1 Mercali is doing very well, gaining weight and looking good. His feet are in much better shape.

Mercali came to Shiloh by way of the Finger Lakes Adoption Program in NY. He arrived at Shiloh in the beginning of November 2007.

Mercali is currently a bit sore on his right Fetlock from racing, but is improving with time. He should make a full recovery.

Mercali is his reg name, he was folaed in NY on April 21, 2003. His sire is Richter Scale, his dam is Cherokee Mist.

Mercali was nominated for The Breeder's Cup.

He raced 17 times, earning $20,801.00.
