4/4/11 Locksley is growing up into a very nice young guy. He will be gelded this month and then will be looking for his new home and future.

Born at Shiloh on 5/19/10 to the Curly Horse mare, Pippi Longstockings. Pippi arrived at Shiloh from the Fallon feedlot with her weanling colt, Sherlock, at her side and pregnant again.

Locksley is big, strong and active! A real sweet foal!

Locksley was named for both the Robin Hood charactor, Robin of Locksley, and the poem, Locksley Hall, by Tennyson. According to Tennyson, the poem represents "young life, its good side, its deficiencies, and its yearnings". Locksley's brother is Sherlock, the weanling colt who arrived with his mother, Pippi.

Locksley will be available for adoption, but he will remain at Shiloh until he is safely and naturally weaned at 6 months of age or older. For the good of the mare and the foal, Shiloh does not wean before the age of 6 months.
