11/28/10 Happy news as Kerkorian is happily adopted!

ADOPTION FEE: $400.00

8/23/10 Kerkorian is still looking for his new home but we just aren't pushing it. He is such a sweet gelding, willing and very loving. If the right home comes along, great- if not, we will be using Kerkorian in our upcoming riding lesson program. Either way, he will always be loved and cared for. We all just love this guy!

3/30/10 We are continuing to work with Kerkorian in the hopes that his right home will come along. He is a super friendly guy who still has spark and spunk and deserves a home where he will be enjoyed. He does have his quirks, such as the scary gates- but he has never done anything bad or dangerous. We have taken him out on slow trail rides and he is a gentleman out there. He gets along with other horses and loves to be groomed. He stands quietly for the Farrier and he had his teeth checked by our vet just a month ago. If you are looking for a light pleasure riding horse to enjoy and spoil, he would be great! If the right home does not come along for him, he will remain at Shiloh where he is well loved and cared for.

9/9/09 Kerkorian's adoption music video. He is wonderful under saddle and very sweet on the ground. He should make someone a great pleasure riding horse, husband horse or family horse. He is good on trail and as he was used at a Dude Ranch before his rescue. He is afraid of going underneath lower roofs, like on our wash area. He will go under it, but sometimes needs some coaxing. Once under, he will stand for grooming and tacking, but at times will "test" his tied lead, so we just wrap the lead around the tie rail. Once he knows the lead will give he stops pulling. He is also afraid to go through gates, not big ones, just skinny gates. We will continue to work on these issues, time and patience should make a huge difference for him. He will trailer and we did not have a problem loading him at the auction. Otherwise, he is willing and likes attention. He is fun to ride and has never bucked, reared, taken off, etc.

8/28/09 I have listed Kerkorian for adoption, he is still gaining some weight and has just started his adoption evaluation. He is sweet and friendly and obviously well broke. He responds to voice commands in the round pen and is going quietly under saddle. He is sound and helathy and needs a home of his own. We are working on his adoption video and will get it up as soon as possible.

7/24/09 Kerkorian is in the Rat Pack pasture to keep his weight up. he will begin his evaluation adoption this month. He has been ridden a few times in the past few weeks and it appears that he is well broke. He looks like a different horse than when he arrived!

5/1/09 Kerkorian is doing great, he has gained tons of weight and is looking healthy. In a short while he will be able to begin his adoption evaluation. He should make someone a very nice horse.

2/23/09 Rescued from the Fallon Auction in Northern Nevada. Kerkorian is an older OTTB that was used as a dude string horse. We were told that in his racing career he earned over $200,000! We will try and run his tattoo and see if we can find out his story. He was saved for $125.
