Arrived at Shiloh on 5/18/07

This is a very, very sweet gelding who was rescued off of the Fallon feedlot before the slaughter trucks arrived. He is super friendly and loves attention. He is very thin.

UPDATE: 5/24/07 I have researched Pace's racing background. He was a pacing horse who pulled a sulky (small cart with jockey). He raced an incredible 228 times! He had 11 firsts, 23 seconds, and 27 thirds, earning $48,016.00. He set 6 track records! He was born in Bakersfield on 4/21/1997. He raced until 2006.

It's really incredible that this gelding ended up going to slaughter- all his years racing for his owners only to be rewarded with a trip to the slaughterhouse.


UPDATE 5/24/07 Pace (named for the type of racing he did) is very sweet and gentle. He is tattoed with what we think is a Standardbred tattoe. He also has a strange tattoe on his neck, one we have never seen before. We will be researching his background to find out more about him.


UPDATE: 8/21/07 Happy news as Pace's is adopted by Rebecca of Pahrump! Pace will be joing another Shiloh Horse, Fontana in his new home!
