Knox is still looking for the right home- he is a very sweet and friendly gelding. he is laid back- just needs a job and some training. He is well mannered and safe to ride- no bucking, rearing, taking off, etc. He's quiet and willing. Knox has even hopped over some cross rails- very quiet, calm, and willing over the fences. He does walk, trot, and canter under saddle.

Knox is a very sweet and friendly gelding who came to Shiloh through the auspices of Angel Acres Horse Haven in PA. He was raced and has been started under saddle.

Knox's registered name is "Unhedged". Born in KY on April 14, 2001 and is descended from Buck Passer, Northern Dancer, War Admiral, and Bold Ruler. Knox raced 21 times and earned $7,835.00.

Knox will make agreat Three Day Event Prospect.

UPDATE: 8/2/06 Knox is doing wonderfully and is now available for adoption to a new loving home. He has been living out in our big pasture, where he was able to relax, hang out with horse friends, and gain weight.

He has been worked with and ridden by a Shiloh volunteer and he is fun to ride. Knox is laid back under saddle, he is slow and quiet. Since he is off of the race track, he will do best with an intermediate to experienced rider. Knox is a fast learner and will progress quickly with steady work. When he arrived at Shiloh, knox did crib, but he has stopped this behavior since he has been living out in the pasture. Knox has great manners and is easy to tack up and mount.

Knox is healthy and sound.

UPDATE: 8/17/06 Knox is really doing great. He loves to be ridden and is really coming along. He has good manners under saddle, no bucking or rearing, very quiet and slow. He is learning to turn correctly and is trotting over poles. Knox will really make someone a great horse, he has wonderful potential for any discipline. Because he has become so busy, it looks like he has even stopped cribbing!
