3/9/08 Happy news as Navidad is adopted by William of Las Vegas. His son is a Farrier, so he will work on Navidad's deformed hoof to see if he can help her stay comfortable.

Companion Horse due to deformed foot and hoof

Navidad was rescued off of the Fallon, NV feedlot before the trucks arrived. She was pregnant at the time and gave birth to a little paint filly named Rain (adopted). Navidad was named for the little Christmas tree shape on her side and because she was rescued around the Holidays in 2006.

Navi is looking for a home as a companion horse, she gets along great with everyone. Her one hoof is deformed, the vets think it is a possible birth defect. She gets along fine on it. It is possible, that will major hoof care (trimmings, shoes, etc) that she might become sound enough for light riding, but only time will tell that.

Navi is a special and beautiful mare.
